Freewheel the Cricket transfer aid to wherever you need without the need for additional equipment. Manoeuvre from room to room, fit between the narrowest of seating and easily negotiate the tightest of spaces.
We have specialised in sit to stand assistive technology to help keep your clients on their feet for as long as possible. For those at risk – fall prevention; declining mobility or as part of rehab program post stroke for example, the Cricket can really make a difference – and deliver real care cost savings, guaranteed.
Helping you overcome difficulties faced in transferring from domestic chairs and/or seating arrangements whilst encouraging clients to continue weight bearing. The Cricket is available in several seat options including a paediatric adaptation.
The Cricket plays an important part when Clients continue their rehab/exercise at home, they gain more physical strength and stability of movement and in many cases only need the support of a partner or one carer. This increased independence and ability helps to improve clients’ well being, dignity and drives down the costs of care.
Cricket I
- Versatile – transfer from sit to sit, sit to stand, room to room and the Cricket is compact enough to use in the smallest room in the home
- Good physical and physiological benefits – clients are able to participate in the transfer rather than being completely dependent on the device and care providers.
Note: clients must be cognitive and have some muscle tone in at least one leg and trunk - Faster and easier for health professionals – allows transfer with the assistance of only one carer
Other features:
- Quick and easy seated transfer aid – from bed to chair to bathroom to stair lift, typically requiring only one carer
- Accommodate even more clients – multi-height adjustment. Adult and pediatric seat options
- Smooth transfer over thresholds – effective on many different surfaces, with easy 2-way operation from front or behind
- Compact – The Cricket transfer aid turns in it’s own space, ideal for the smallest of rooms, under a bed, from a chair, over a toilet
- Safety assured – integral back rest and ergonomically designed for comfort
Market withdrawal early 2016; replaced with the Cricket II, designed using over 20 years for knowledge and improving the existing benefits

“We like the independence it can still promote in clients through their need to actively participate in sit to stand”
Judith Craig, Moving and Handling Practitioner (Partnerships), CHP Offices Stobhill Hospital
Patient donates two Crickets to Good Hope Hopspital, Birmingham after being a recent patient and benefited from using a Cricket: Sheila Selby was so appreciative of the care and support she received at Good Hope Hospital that she donated the Crickets, knowing they would make a “significant difference to both the staff and future patients on the Ward”.
